We've all been created to worship. So when we gather on a Sunday morning we want to pour ourselves out for Jesus. We think you'll like the music you hear at Hope Creek but it's not about you, it's about Jesus. So our aim is to encourage you to sing, clap, and even lift your hands if you feel comfortable, all for the purpose of praising and thanking Jesus for who He is and what He's done for you.
You'll hear a diverse range of musical genres and styles at Hope Creek as we attempt to reflect the ethnic diversity of our gatherings and the kingdom of God. Music is a part of the way we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and respond to that word. All in all, the atmosphere at Hope Creek is casual, reflective and open to all. Come as you are.
And you'll hear us preach Jesus and while this will likely mean you'll learn some things about how to be a better person, how to have a better marriage, or how to be more fulfilled in life--that's not the point. Because without Jesus, nothing matters. It's because of Jesus that we can be a better person, only Jesus can make a marriage better, and true fulfillment is only found in Jesus.
This means we teach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus. God uses the Bible to change our lives (2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12). So, on a Sunday morning you'll hear a 35-40 minute sermon straight from the Bible. Our goal is to communicate the truths of Scripture effectively and in a way that you can understand and apply to your life.
